The Unfair labor practice includes the following violations against the District:
- a violation for the second year in a row of the contractual class size averages, which is detrimental to student learning
- the unilateral removal of staff development buy-back days despite the fact that the District is still receiving that money from the state. At the very leaset, the GFCEE argues that those days should be negotiated.
- The District's unwillingness to pay teachers a small stipend for using their prep period or lunch to travel from one school site to another.
- The Distirct's unwillingness to provide information it is legally required to provide regarding the BTSA and AVID positions.
Keep in mind that the District just received $450,000 in federal funds to be specificlly used to rehire or recall teacehrs or classified staff but that the District is refusing to say if or when it will spend that money.
