Cutting $1.5 million from the budget will be painful and difficult and it does not include servicing the $200,000 debt payment due to the recent loan. The district would like to keep the recent loan seperate from the budget process but the two are clearly connected.
In another story, I have been told that the Galt Herald pulled its online story on the loan after running it for less than two days. How does that action serve the public good? When I called them today the Herald representative said that there were some errors in the story that they were correcting and that they would repost the article.
